I'm not a big fan of the fight between Indonesia and Malaysia. Anyhow, this morning while I was browsing Indonesian music videos on youtube.com, something caught my attention. Most of the comments posted there were posted by Malaysians! One of them said, "This song is so rubbish". Okay, this made me kinda mad but hey, there's a reply said like this, "Hey, I am Malaysian and I love Indonesian songs. They rock!"

It was kinda funny because at one time I was mad, and a second after that I was calmed. Then I continued reading the comments and found something like, "Indonesians really fail in music". Oh man, I was imagining my fist on that person's face until I read, "How could they fail when we listen Indonesian music almost all the time on our radio, and we hardly hear our music on their radio?"

They are so cute because they are actually fighting to each other. Harsher their comments, harsher the responses came from them too. I wonder why they are so jealous of Indonesia? Did they forget that they imported teachers from Indonesia? However, I'm really glad that although there are some Malaysians accuse that they hate Indonesia, there are also some Malaysians who really love Indonesia.

Collecting leaves sucks!

So a couple of days after snowing, the weather turned out to be fine enough to work outside on the yard. My father left the States before we could finish up collecting all the leaves on the back yard of my house. Well, if I wouldn't do it, then who would?

So I put my sweat shirt on, turned on my iPhone for music, and grabbed a box of plastic bag. I didn't know how long I worked on it, but I did know exactly that it was cold and exhausting especially after the 9th big-full and fat bag like what you can see in the picture. I also tried "again" -- which I'm not going to explain why I put a quote marks there -- to burn those leaves in a chimney. That freakin' smoke always scares me...

My neighbor said that we need to do this sucky job only once a year, which is in the beginning of winter only. I saw him having 3 bags of leaves and burning some of the rest in his chimney. I think he has cleaned the rest before, so he didn't have as much as I had. I had been leaving those leaves on the yard since I moved in here on September, so you could imagine how many bags more I need to finish up the job.

Finally today, November 16, 2007, I let go my car that had accompanied me for almost 3 years. A lot of things happened in that car especially wonderful memories. After I gave the key to the new owner, I watched the car slowly moving away till it was out of my sight. I felt like something was not right because I was still thinking the car was mine and somebody else was taking it away from me. At the time it's going away, all of sudden the memories passed in front of my eyes just like I was watching a movie being fast-forwarded, it passed so fast.

It's just a car, I know, but I can't deny that I'm feeling sad right now...

I dedicate a song "One last cry" from Brian McKnight to my ex-car. And I dedicate it also to my ex-girlfriend who has got a new boyfriend.

I haven't met my dad for 3 years since October 2004. He left Wichita after he had a meeting in San Fransisco and took a visit to Troy, AL where my brother was studying. My mom came here on July 2006, and 2007, alone, because my dad couldn't leave his job there in Jakarta. Then why is he suddenly coming without any plan? Well, there was a plan, made a month ago when the company where he works at decided sending him back to San Fransisco for another meeting, and the same time he planned to fly here to visit me and my sister on November 17. It's going to be exciting to see my dad after 3 years!

Removing my car's sound system

Yesterday the girl who looked at my car with her mom had another appointment with me in order to have a test drive. She seemed like she pretty liked the car and was sure to buy it. So this morning I started working on my sound system removal.

I started with the cables connecting to the woofer and I removed the woofer from the trunk. From there I continued by removing the head unit (shown in the picture) and the wires between them -- head unit and woofer. To remove those wired, I needed to take off the passenger seat and some panel which was not difficult. And I stopped there.

The difficulties here is not the removal process, but the memories inside it. I spent so much time with my ex in the car listening to some music, and sometimes I sang for her. Sometimes I bothered her by turning up the volume and bla bla bla. It was so difficult to remove those memories while I was working alone in my car. I felt like she was there just yesterday...

Well, soon or later my car will be sold. Another memory keeper will be gone. A lot of memories are kept in this car, both good and bad. We went everywhere using this car and did everything inside. However, I think it is better to let go those memories along with the car, so that I could forget about having a good and a bad time with her.

Maybe she is happy out there with her new boyfriend, and I hope so. But I'm sure she can't forget about me and she knows that I am better than anyone she could get, hahaha. Don't believe me? Just see :)

When you are not there with your family

Today, around 2pm my mother called me by Yahoo messenger. I had been trying to reach her since the last 2 days but she was not there. I was wondering, why she was awake in the middle of the night (it was 1am there in Jakarta) and called me? The strange feeling that I had was clearly about my grandmother who had been seriously ill, especially when my brother left me a very short message saying my grandmother was in a very serious condition and that he was going to the hospital. And yes, my mother told me that she had passed away...

Right after she said that, I became frozen without any word came out from my mind. At that moment, I only knew that my mom really needed me and all of her children. Right at that moment I felt like I was the most useless son on this earth. I couldn't say a word and I couldn't do anything too. The only thing that I said then was only, "we hope God will accept her and her deeds".

Then my mom said she was about to go to hospital and that she called me because she was waiting for her sister (my aunt) to pick her up from her house. She told me a brief story about what happened recently before she went offline. The way she typed the messages was really different than usual. I could sense that she was really in a big sorrow and worried. But what could I do?

The only thing I can do now is just pray to God for my grandmother. I pray for my mother too, I hope she will be okay and keep healthy. Well, this is how it feels when you are not there with your family.

Test Drive at Mike Steven's Mitsubishi

So many stuff to do, so many places to go made me think to stop by at a car dealer in which I had been thinking about to see the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer by my own eyes. A black guy with a good looking helped me and showed me the car that I was curious of. He even let me to drive it by myself! Woa!

Just by giving him my driver's license, we were set on a cool ride. He drove me to a place 1-2 blocks away. He looked like he was enjoying the car so much, which I thought I was the only one who got excited. He stopped the car at a park and let me drive for a return trip. Woa (again)! He let me do whatever I want! I dragged the car with a full speed on gear 1 and 2 (I wish I could continue till gear 5, but it had gone over the speed limit which was 45mph). Hohoho, first time for being nasty to a brand new car.

What can I say more? It was awesome!

Cedar Point - Raptor

What if u upgraded Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0

Dear Technical Support Team:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0.

I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child-processes that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activities.

Applications such as BachelorNights 10.3, Cricket 5.0 , BeerWithBuddies 7.5 , and Outings 3.6 no longer runs, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications.

I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 5.0 , but the 'uninstall ' doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

Please help!

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that people complain about.

Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program.

Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING !!!

It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 5.0.

It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 5.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed not to allow this. (Look in your Wife 1.0 Manual under Warnings-Alimony- Child Support) ..

I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the environment.

I suggest installing the background application " Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean 2.5 , Sweep 3.0, Cook 1.5 and DoLaundry 4.2 . However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program NagNag 9.5 .

Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend
Sarees 2.1 and Jewellery 5.0

STATUTORY WARNING : DO NOT, under any circumstances, install SecretaryWith Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Girls Are Not to be Trusted

LOL! I have watched it several times and still I can't watch it without laughing! OMG that guy is so poor, LOL! For you who don't understand this movie, I'll give you a brief story.

It is a FILM MAKING 101 class and the instructor is collecting his students' assignments. The first student is Kevin with his short movie, “Girls are not to be Trusted” which tells you that his girlfriend, Belanie -- who is actually Melanie, the girl who sits next to him in the class -- is having sex with his best friend, Todd, and he is so mad about it.

And the second film is Saturn Unleashed that STILL tells us about Kevin’s sad story. I don’t catch what he says there because he fakes his voice and because he doesn’t finish talking and… WTF? WTF? LOL!

And the third or last is just telling us that Kevin tries to propose Melanie in front of the class, but NO! And the movie ends with a sad song from Radiohead, “Karma Police” which is actually supposed to be background music instead of a music that comes out from a tape. XD

March is almost over and the weather is getting more and more beautiful -- clear sky and chill temperature. How to Show a Very Long Message in a Second

First thing to do is go to Preferences and choose Phrases from the list on the left.
Press the plus (“+”) button on the top right corner.

Type in the title you want for the keyword in the Name of Phrase box. I’m sure you don’t wanna make it too long.

Write anything you want in the big box below it for the message you want to appear in the chat box in-game.

Enter the game and type “/p [title]” where [title] is whatever the message title you want others to read.

Sometimes in my spare time, I like to open Metacafe.com to watch some interesting videos posted by people around the world. The fun part is you can post your own comments, whatever you want to say. So I found it hilarious when somebody responses a comment with such a random thought.

DOTA 101 - Know What You Are Doing!

Getting Started

I assume all of you who read this already know what Dota is and how to join the game online. So let’s get started!

Warning! If you have only tried to play Dota once or twice, even if you have played it five times, I strongly suggest you to join a game without banlist/ban/BL/pro written on the game title. The reason I tell you this because sometimes people who you will meet in the game don’t like to see their team mate keeps dying or plays poorly, and thus you will receive some complains and bad comments from them although sometimes it helps you to know what you are doing wrong.

You can try to join a game with noob/newb/newbie written on it instead...

Ok, now you have entered the game, the first thing to do is to pick your favorite hero. I assume that you join an -ap/-apem game, so you have a bunch of heroes that you can pick -- or if I can call it “buy” -- either from The Sentinel Taverns or The Scourge Taverns. The complete list of the heroes is here.

You have some amount of gold that depends on how many players are there in your team. You get more gold by killing enemy’s troops (creeps), heroes, and destroying enemy’s towers and buildings. You also get some extra gold periodically thru-out the game, and you get faster gold in em (i.e. –apem) mode.

What you need to do before going to the battle arena is to equip yourself with some useful starting items. Everyone has a different starting gear. For me, I always buy one Scroll of Town Portal, one Ancient Tango of Essifation, and two Gauntlets of Strength no matter what hero I have. The reason I always go for those items are:
1. I need to go back to base especially when my HP is very low, so I can go back quickly using a Scroll of Town Portal since I don’t buy Boots of Speed in the beginning.
2. I need a quick heal but my HP is not high enough yet to use a Flask of Sapphire Water (which means a waste if you use it), so I prefer to have a set of Ancient Tango of Essifation handy.
3. We need everything for our heroes, but I only need more HP to survive and level up in the beginning of the game, thus I choose two Gauntlets of Strength to increase my HP.

Getting Deeper

Now you have recognized every simple thing in the game. But there are more things that you need to know. This is why Dota never dies – because there are more and more things coming to be tried.

What you need to recognize first is your hero. I’m sure you have noticed that there are three types of hero regardless their attack ranges, which are Agi, Intel, and Strength.

The image above is the attributes of Agi heroes which agility is their primary attributes. Because agility is their primary attributes, every time they gain more agility, their attack damage increases by 1. Usually agility heroes are killer heroes because of their high agility which means high attack damage and high attack speed (see what increases every time you add more agility on the image above). Agility heroes have a low HP although they get more armor when they get more agility. HINT: Play hit and run.

Intel heroes are heroes with magic as their primary weapon. Besides increases amount of mana and its regeneration, because intelligence is their primary attributes, intelligence also increases the attack damage by 1. Usually intelligence heroes are disabler heroes -- they help other heroes to stop, hold, and distract enemy heroes using their magic. Intelligence heroes have a low HP and a high MP. HINT: Range is your friend; don’t get too close with enemies.

And the last is Strength heroes. Every time you increase a strength hero’s strength, automatically you increase its attack damage, hit point (HP), and HP regeneration. Most of the time strength heroes are tankers which means they should be in the front line in every battle. The huge amount of HP makes you think that you are the star of the game. HINT: Selecting items is so important. Without correct items, your hero will be useless.

After you learn what your hero’s primary attributes, you need to learn what magic it has, how to use it, and when the best time to use it.

Magic is good and is so convenient to use. Sometimes you think that you want to use magic all the time even if you are playing a strength or agility hero, thus you use and waste your gold for magic items such as Refresher Orb and Guinsoo’s Schyte of Vyse. No! Just make two Bracers in the beginning of the game and it’s enough (each Bracer gives you +3 intelligence which means 39 (3x13) extra intelligence and mana regeneration speed+3).

Yes, you are right, that’s how you decide what items are the best for your hero. For example Sange and Yasha gives you:

• +16 agility,
• +16 strength,
• +16 attack damage,
• +10% movement speed,
• +10% attack speed, and
• 10% chance of maim.
From there it actually tells you that:
• 16/7= +2.82 extra armor,
• 16x1%= +16% attack speed
• 16x19= +304 extra hit points
• 16x1= +16 HP regeneration

• if your hero is either str or agi, is gains 16 extra attack damage from its strength/ agility, and it also gives you an instant attack damage bonus, thus you get (16x1)+16= +32 attack damage,
• let’s say your movement speed is 350 (you can know by typing –ms in-game), so you get 350+(350x10%)= 385 total movement speed,
• M+(Mx10%) total attack speed where as M is your attack speed value that I assume is your total agility.

• And a chance to maim a target once in ten hits.

Let’s compare what you will get if you buy two Hyperstones and what if you use the money for the second Hyperstone for a Demon Edge. Let’s say your hero’s current attributes are 50 str, 50 agi, 50 intel, and 100 attack damage (others are unconsidered), and let’s ASSUME the speed calculation as M/25seconds which means currently you attack (50/25seconds=2/second) twice per second.

When you buy two Hyperstones:
• Each of it give you +55% attack speed or +110% for two of them,
• 50+(50x110%)= 105 total attack speed,
• 105/25seconds= 4.2 times in a second,
• Your attack damage doesn’t change which is 100.
• Thus you deal 420 damage in a second.
When you buy one Hyperstone and a Demon Edge:
• Demon Edge gives you +36 attack damage,
• Hyperstone gives you +55% attack speed,
• 50+(50x55%)= 77.5 total attack speed,
• 77.5/25seconds= 3.1 times in a second,
• 100+36= 136 total attack damage,

• And thus, you deal 421.6 in a second. Lol only 1.6 different after you spend 300 more on Demon Edge! But I think its worthy since you can only store 6 items in total.

So, that’s the basic stuff to play Dota. I think you have learned enough and know enough what items are good for your chosen hero. Good luck and have fun!

For you who use MSN Messenger a lot may find disturbing when you see your friend's status is away but he/she doesn't reply your message for the whole day. Maybe for you "away" means the person is going to bathroom, having a meal, or something like that. But who knows somebody sets the status as "away" when he/she leaves the place which means he/she is not at home? And who knows you are one of the poor guys who is waiting forever for a reply? LOL.

Some of my friends always ask when they get my auto-message, "How do you do that?" For some of them, I need to explain from A to Z, and for the rest I just say, "It's a secret" since I realize its exhausting to explain again and again.

This auto-message is also helpful when you are actually in front of the computer but you are lazy to respond to somebody/anyone and you find it's annoying when somebody keeps sending messages and nudges. Just set an auto-message such as "I'm not at my desk/home. Just leave a message." Yes I know, It's fun to fool somebody. XD

This software -- or you can simply call it a plug-in since you don't need to open an extra program to run it because it attaches to MSN Messenger -- is not about auto-messages only, it gives you many extra features that MSN Messenger doesn't provide such as special notifications when your specific friends are online, block all contacts at once while leaving some unblocked.
